Laser pens are just like ordinary pens with regular pen casing and write just like a pen does, but with an added feature: a laser incorporated for pointing. The laser is normally at the opposite end of the writing pen and the laser dot is created using a tiny laser diode. Laser pens have become very popular as corporate gifts to employees and management. They make an excellent tool especially for office and school presentations and lectures. Red laser pens are the most affordable lasers one can find anywhere. The green ones are more expensive because the green beam emitted is much more brighter and noticeable, which makes it advisable for presentations, astronomy and star pointing applications. Relatively new additions to the laser pen family are the blue laser pens. Blue laser pens are now catching up to the hype as must haves for laser pointer collectors and can also give an edge in presentations when used.
